In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong extended a warm welcome and expressed his deep gratitude to the high schools that have partnered with NEU in admissions and training over the years.
“We share a common mission: nurturing high-quality human resources for the nation. The quality of NEU’s current intake is a direct result of the solid foundation that high school teachers have painstakingly built for their students,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong emphasized.
According to the President, a student’s success is not determined solely at the university level but is the result of a continuous "educational value chain," in which general education serves as the bedrock. Therefore, this conference is not just an annual meeting but a forum to show appreciation, listen, and establish deeper coordination mechanisms for the future.
The year 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of National Economics University. From an institution dedicated to training economic officials for the State, NEU has evolved into a multidisciplinary university resting on three major pillars: Economics, Business, and Technology.
President Bui Huy Nhuong also noted that, alongside traditional fields, NEU is boosting training in technology sectors such as Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. Many students have secured top prizes in domestic and international academic competitions, affirming the university's strategic development path.
Currently, over 50% of the University's training programs have achieved international accreditation from prestigious organizations such as ACBSP (USA) and FIBAA (Germany). In the near future, 21 additional programs will undergo accreditation, solidifying the University’s position on the regional and international educational map.
“In our new development phase, NEU is committed to building a sustainable educational ecosystem that is learner-centered while substantially strengthening the link between high school and university education.
At the same time, we will continue to drive internationalization, expand regional cooperation, and implement synchronous academic and digital transformation solutions to enhance training quality. These directions are part of our strategic vision leading up to our 70th anniversary, affirming NEU’s pioneering position in economics and management training in Vietnam,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong stated.

In 2026, the University will step up experiential programs such as: A Day as an NEU Student, Open Day, short-term specialized workshops, and mentorship programs between university and high school students. Smart online counseling channels via mobile apps and digital platforms will also be established.
In the long term, both sides aim to sign memorandums of understanding to co-organize career workshops, academic competitions, and both offline and online specialized classes, while sharing digital learning resources.
Under the new orientation, NEU will develop an initiative to attract international students, contributing to a multicultural learning environment that meets international university standards.
